Airport - Pinnawala - Kandy 120 km / Approx. 4 hours by Road

Arrive at the Airport in the evening to be greeted by representative who will escort you to your vehicle. Drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is one of Sri Lankas most popular tourist attractions. The orphanages population has now mushroomed to around 65, making it the world’s largest collection of captive elephants. The elephants here range in age from newborns to elderly matriarchs, and include orphaned and abandoned elephants, as well as those injured in the wild. Also visit a spice garden to see spices growing in their natural habitat and learn about spices and their use in Sri Lankan cuisine, Upon completion, drive to Kandy, in the central hills, the second largest city and last royal capital of Sri Lanka. After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Garden, which is 147 acres in extent, stated in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of tree and plants as well as some rare and endemic flora from the tropical world. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. This is haven not only fir Scientists but to every nature lover as well. The afternoon will be spent by sightseeing in Kandy including Arts & Crafts workshop, Oriental Market Place, Bazaar and Gem Lapidary. In the evening, you will visit a Kandyan Dance performance and be treated to a spectacular fire walking finale, performed by various Sri Lankan dance troupes, displaying the cultural blends in elaborate dance costumes.

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya 80 km / Approx. 2 ½ hours by Road
Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya, also known as little England, set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, lush green valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. Sitting high up in the hills, the green and pleasant city offers both a rich history and proximity to pristine natural areas. Experience an authentic tea plucking experience with the estate workers and enjoy a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best Tea in the world is produced. You will get a chance of tasting a pure cup of Ceylon Tea at the Factory. The salubrious climate, misty glens and the decidedly British character make Nuwara Eliya a must visit city on any Sri Lankan travel industry.

Nuwara Eliya - Kithulgala - Colombo 170 km / Approx. 5 hours by Road
Colombo

After breakfast transfer to Colombo, enroute visit Kitulgala which is synonymous with the scenic locations where the award-winning movie ‘Bridge of the River Kwai’ was shot - Kithulgala is located some 87 km away from Colombo on the edge of the country’s wet zone. Upon completion drive to Colombo and take a city tour covering the Colombo Fort, Old Parliament, Galle face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and Independence square culminating in some excellent retail therapy at the end.

After breakfast, drive to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to catch your departure flight.
