Port Blair is also an Island town offering water based activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, sea-cruises, and glimpses of the history and culture of the region. The Aberdeen Bazaar forms the center of the town. Most of the restaurants and hotels are around this area. The main bus station is just west of the bazaar and the Airport 4 Kms. to the south west. The main passenger dock for ferries-the Phoenix Bay Jetty is 1 Km. to the North West.

Arrival Port Blair

On arrival at Port Blair airport, our representative will receive and escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and relax. Later visit the Corbyns Cove Beach the nearest beach of Port Blair. It is one of the most picturesque, coconut palm fringed beach. In the evening, enjoy shopping from Emporium. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Port Blair - Ross Island - North Bay Island - Port Blair

After breakfast, start for a full day tour by boat to visit Ross Island, the place from where the Britishers governed the entire AAndN islands, prior to India s Independence . This island is an ideal destination for nature walks amidst sylvan surroundings with deers, peacocks, exotic birds, etc. Then visit to North Bay Island (Coral Island) to see coral reefs, exotic varieties of beautiful ornamental fish and other marine life. Later experience the glass bottom boating experience. Feel afloat with the marine creatures as you hop on the glass bottom dolphin shaped boat for this 1 hour expedition to Andaman sea. You will be guided by experts with in depth knowledge of the region. Later after the tour, return back to Port Blair for an overnight stay.

Port Blair - Local Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast, time till afternoon will be free to enjoy on the beach. Late afternoon, proceed to visit Cellular jail which is a mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. It is entirely made up on individual cells for the solitary confinement of the prisoners. The jail, now a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people, has declared as a National Memorial. Museum depicts the life of freedom fighters. An imprisonment centre to convict the criminals of British East India Company. From 1896 the construction of Cellular Jail was started and it was completed in 1906 with 698 cells. In the evening attend the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail, where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive. In the evening, return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
